Rika Nauck grew up in a little village in the middle of what was West Germany back then. Originally called Ulrike she changed her name to Rika when she went to university, in order to get rid of an unloved nickname, given to her during school years. In 1999 she moved to the East of England where she lives together with her husband.

Aside a job as secretary she is engaging in various activities like Bodybuilding, modelling for photo shoots and cooking, which are providing the material for her series of 13 blogs called 'The incredible Ladies Project'. She is very interested in arts and crafts, and she used the pictures of her latest photo shoot as templates for the illustrations of this book.
